This role demands a robust background in credit analysis, encompassing cash flow assessments, tax return evaluations, balance sheet scrutiny, and income statement reviews. The Senior Commercial Credit Administrator is also skilled in the formulation and analysis of financial projections and agricultural budgets, alongside comprehensive commercial and consumer underwriting and loan structuring.

In addition to loan approval responsibilities, the Senior Commercial Credit Administrator is well-versed in the company's credit policies and regulatory standards, leveraging this expertise to foster prudent loan growth and effective portfolio management. This position collaborates closely with credit administrators, relationship managers, and branch managers to craft competitive credit offerings that align with customer needs while safeguarding the bank's interests and ensuring satisfactory returns for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and direction to a team of credit administrators.
  • Evaluates and approves or declines various loan applications as necessary.
  • Engages with credit administrators and branch personnel to explore credit solutions for clients.
  • Participates in customer meetings, offering credit expertise to support commercial lending initiatives.
  • Requests additional information to complete underwriting processes and suggests any further credit approval or documentation requirements.
  • Advises on commercial lending strategies, pricing, and underwriting policies to the Credit Administration.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of customer loan requests.
  • Delivers exceptional support to branches in addressing loan-related inquiries.
  • Maintains a high-quality commercial credit portfolio with appropriate risk assessments.
  • Oversees the entire commercial loan processing cycle, from origination to closing, including documentation and post-closing follow-ups.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Stays updated on and recommends enhancements to the bank's underwriting guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Assists the Deputy Chief Credit Officer in preparing loan packages and necessary reports.
  • Maintains compliance with relevant regulations, including fair lending and privacy laws.
  • Contributes to the development and revision of credit policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in lending or credit roles within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for underwriting complex loan products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in utilizing banking software and Microsoft Windows applications.
