Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients appropriately to scan specific areas of their bodies
- Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
- Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety
- Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance image visibility
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
- Communicate effectively with patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
- BLS and ACLS certification
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong technical skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Minimum of two years of current X-Ray Tech experience
- Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
- Active unencumbered X-Ray Tech Illinois state license
- One year of Epic experience
- ARRT certification
