Recruiting Specialist

The Recruiting Specialist is a key member of the Human Resources Operations Team at Hyundai Mobis, responsible for executing the company's recruiting and hiring processes for assigned openings. The incumbent evaluates open positions, updates job descriptions, posts open positions, screens resumes and applications, schedules and manages interviews, and provides cost-effective solutions to fill open salaried positions.
Key Responsibilities- Recruiting and Hiring Process Management: Maintain the integrity of the Recruiting and Hiring System, offering continuous improvement ideas and suggestions.
- Consistent Execution: Ensure that recruiting and hiring procedures are administered consistently throughout the entire organization.
- Vendor Partnerships: Partner with external vendors to administer and manage internal and external web-based candidate searches.
- Career Fairs and Events: Participate in Career Fairs to build a database of qualified applicants to rapidly respond to talent acquisition needs.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management: Maintain an internal ATS to ensure efficiency in the recruiting and hiring process.
- Hiring Manager Training: Plan for and train hiring managers to screen and interview applicants using legally defensible employment law practices.
- Job Description Development: Collaborate with hiring managers to update job descriptions and develop an Ideal Candidate Profile for each open position.
- Screening and Interviewing: Demonstrate the use of best practice screening techniques to ensure that applicants have the right blend of education, skills, and experience.
- Interview Question Development: Develop job-specific and job-relevant behavior-based interview questions to enable hiring managers to make an informed hiring decision.
- Candidate Sourcing: Plan time each day to develop a pool of qualified candidates for each open position.
- Recruiting Agency Partnerships: Use external recruiting agencies to help source for hard-to-fill positions.
- Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communications between applicants and hiring managers to keep all parties apprised of the status of each search.
- Travel and Accommodations: Coordinate travel and hotel accommodations for non-local candidate interviews.
- Offer Letters and Background Checks: Process legally defensible offer letters and facilitate the post-offer background check and drug screening process, coordinate new hire relocation as needed.
- New Hire Onboarding: Notify each hire of the date and time of new Team Member Orientation, assist with the onboarding process, and coordinate with hiring managers to ensure that each new hire has a sponsor, an office or cubicle, a computer, a phone, and necessary office supplies.
- Compliance and Reporting: Process Form I-9s, enter data into SAP, E-Verify, and comply with Alabama State hiring requirements.
- Exit Interviews and Process Improvement: Schedule and facilitate Exit Interviews, use feedback received to improve recruiting and hiring processes, and track and report opportunities for improvement.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven knowledge of recruiting and hiring processes and procedures, ability to manage time and projects to ensure completion of annual recruiting and hiring plans, proven Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), knowledge of State and Federal employment laws, and excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal management skills.
- Preferred Education and Experience: Experience in administration of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Professional Human Resources Certification (SHRM or HRCI), SAP experience, recruiting and hiring experience in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment, and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
