Job Title: Behavior Consultant

At Northern Children's Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Consultant to join our team. As a Behavior Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing intensive therapeutic services to children and families in their homes, communities, or schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical direction of services for each child on your caseload, revising and updating the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) as needed.
  • Lead the team in providing clinical services, including individual psychotherapy, case management, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with schools, families, and other treatment professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop treatment plans based on the results.
  • Monitor consumer progress on treatment goals and report this information through treatment plan updates at least every 180 days.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or behavioral analysis certification.
  • At least one year of full-time paid experience in the mental health field.
  • Excellent working knowledge of clinical issues relating to children, adolescents, and families.
  • Familiarity with multiple child-serving systems, including education, juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, drug and alcohol, healthcare, and vocational rehab.
