Job Summary

As a key member of our culinary team, the Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage kitchen shift operations, ensuring compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Estimate daily production needs and communicate production needs to kitchen personnel daily.
  • Assist the Executive Chef with all kitchen operations and preparation.
  • Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
  • Develop and implement new menu items, recipes, and presentation styles.
  • Maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Lead shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
