Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Philanthropy and Government Relations to join our team at the Monell Chemical Senses Center. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving the organization's development and fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fund development program to achieve annual revenue goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects and donors.
  • Develop personalized strategies for engaging high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Work with executive and senior leadership teams, governing board, faculty, and staff to define the organization's vision and direction.
  • Prepare development reports, including plans, accomplishments, and donor pipeline, for the Executive Director and President.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in development, with a focus on major gifts fundraising, 15 years or more.
  • Extensive experience working across organizational areas.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans.
  • Knowledge of fundraising laws and regulations.
