Job Title: Staff Accountant

Balance, LLC is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm focused on assisting contractors with construction job file management. We partner with leading technology platforms and service vendors to deliver thorough, compliant, and timely construction job file management.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant will manage various accounting functions, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting, and associated analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of department processes and be able to evaluate and improve accounting processes while ensuring compliance with organization accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting functions, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and asset accounting
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes to ensure compliance with organization accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead and direct accounting professionals and support staff, including subordinate supervisors
  • Manage subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
  • Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets

Requirements:

  • BA Degree
  • 5+ years related experience
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience - Preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Preferred
