Key Responsibilities
  • Design, install, configure, and support physical security systems
  • Design, install, configure, and support IP-based networks, communication systems, and other various infrastructures
  • Provide integration services between building systems
  • Perform contracted monitoring and analysis to ensure optimization of customer investments
  • Prepare system engineering as specified, using established LONG standards
Requirements
  • 4-year technical degree, a 2-year technical school degree with at least 2 years of networking systems experience, 5 years of experience in IP-based networking and electronic security systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong commitment to quality work, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to safe work practices for both self and team members
  • Proficient in basic electricity, including AC/DC theory, Ohm's Law, and using a digital volt/ohm meter
  • Advanced expertise in IP-based physical security systems
  • Extensive knowledge of IP-based and electronic communication systems
  • In-depth understanding of network and computer operating systems
  • Proficient in internetworking devices, techniques, operating systems, and protocols
  • Skilled in programming, scripting, and integration protocols
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude
  • Proven ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications
  • Familiar with computer drafting software, word processors, and spreadsheets
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
