Armed Security Training Specialist

Job Title: Armed Security Trainer
Job Summary:
MaxSent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Trainer to support our FPS-AK contract in Alaska. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, with a focus on firearms instruction and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct training programs for new hires and current employees
- Conduct on-the-job training in accordance with NWDTP and contract requirements
- Conduct overt training and testing
- Conduct and report the Screening Operation Assessment Report (SOAR)
- Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness
- Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills
- Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and course materials
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats
- Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors
- Conduct quality assurance inspections at firearms training events
- Provide instruction to new hires and current employees as required
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and read, write, and speak English
- Must have a background with a minimum of two (2) years of training experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service
- Must have completed an approved and accredited Firearms Instructor (Range Official) course
- Must possess appropriate certifications to train in First Aid, CPR, AED, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, Baton, OC Spray, and Firearms Instruction
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to obtain and maintain instructor certifications as required
- Must be able to obtain USG suitability for work on US Government contracts
- Must successfully complete the Federal Protective Service National Weapons Detection Training Program
