Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and oversee compilation, review, and audit engagements for diverse for-profit entities.
  • Prepare and analyze a variety of financial statements, including conducting technical reviews.
  • Prepare complex tax returns and engage with various tax authorities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to supervise and prioritize multiple engagements, effectively delegating tasks as needed.
  • Review changes in work performed from previous years, considering updates in client accounting practices and adjusting for changes in tax laws or accounting standards.
  • Resolve accounting challenges and tax-related issues.
  • Mentor and guide new staff members on their assignments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3-7 years of public accounting experience in a tax-focused environment.
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification.
  • Experience in supervisory roles and strong client relationship skills.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and tax compliance for small businesses.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with ProSystems/Axcess software, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and other relevant programs for tax planning, depreciation, and accounting.
