Job Overview

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience or education in hardware, networking, and communications is essential.

  • The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, able to quickly learn protocols, follow instructions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) are necessary.
  • Patience, conscientiousness, self-motivation, independence, and a strong customer service orientation are critical attributes.
  • Ability to travel to various agency locations is required.
  • A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance are necessary for insurability with Harbor's vehicle insurance provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to incoming inquiries via phone, voicemail, email, and direct requests regarding workstation and hardware issues in a professional and timely manner.
  2. Consult with staff to identify hardware needs essential for their roles, obtaining necessary approvals from management before procurement.
  3. Document and track help desk issues, including actions taken and resolutions achieved.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot telehealth solutions, including hardware and user accounts.
  5. Follow up with staff post-resolution to ensure issues have been satisfactorily addressed.
  6. Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot staff workstations and laptops.
  7. Install and configure approved software on staff devices, coordinating with IT Help Desk Technicians for any software-related issues.
  8. Assess and implement performance upgrades for workstations and laptops, including the installation of network cards, hard drives, and memory.
  9. Maintain an inventory of all workstations and laptops, utilizing auditing software to associate staff with IT equipment.
  10. Keep a record of users assigned agency-owned mobile equipment, ensuring policies and agreements are reviewed and signed as required.
