Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate the facility and grounds for approximately 1 mile during an 8-hour shift.
- Certification in CPR is required or must be obtained.
- Capability to bend and stoop from a standing position.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 1 hour at a time.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to assist residents weighing between 140 to 170 lbs.
- Emotional and physical resilience to manage stressful situations.
- If in recovery, must demonstrate two years of continuous abstinence.
Core Responsibilities:
The Resident Assistant II is responsible for the comprehensive care and supervision of residents. This role requires a professional demeanor and a positive attitude, aligning with the organizational philosophy to enhance the therapeutic environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Key Duties:
- Conduct individual resident check-ins as assigned.
- Perform all responsibilities associated with the Resident Assistant role.
- Lead community meetings for residents.
- Facilitate program activities.
- Oversee resident engagement as directed.
- Exhibit effective communication and rapport with residents.
- Report policy violations to the Senior Resident Specialist.
- Ensure residents are in their designated rooms at appropriate times.
- Demonstrate proficiency in non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Uphold a professional demeanor and respond to residents' needs and concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, management, clients, and contractors.
- Maintain alertness to perform duties safely.
- Assist with other related tasks necessary for the daily operations of the Reprieve as requested.
