Senior Performance Auditor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Division of Legislative Audit is seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Performance Auditor, you will be responsible for planning and performing auditing procedures and techniques on major sections of performance and compliance audits. You will also supervise Staff Performance Auditors and assist in the preparation of audit reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform auditing procedures and techniques on major sections of performance and compliance audits.
  • Supervise Staff Performance Auditors and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports, including drafting findings and recommendations.
  • Review audit workpapers prepared by subordinate auditors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, math, humanities, data analytics, business, or public administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in performance auditing, program evaluation, policy analysis, or related experience.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field and 1 year of experience may be considered.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 from an accredited university or college.
