Job Summary:

Institute for Community Living, Inc. is seeking a Family Peer Advocate to join our team. As a Family Peer Advocate, you will work with families to provide education, outreach, advocacy, and recovery support services. You will serve as a bridge between families and service providers, connecting them with appropriate services and supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with families to understand their strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Connect families with appropriate services and supports.
  • Facilitate meetings between families and service providers.
  • Assist families in gathering and preparing documents needed for services.
  • Address barriers to full participation in services.
  • Support families during transitions and promote continuity of engagement and supports.

Requirements:

  • Credentialed Family Peer Advocate (FPA) or Certified Recovery Peer Advocate with a Family Specialty (CRPA-F).
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and provide culturally competent services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
