About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As an experienced professional in pump repair and maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain API centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist with training and developing Pump Mechanic personnel to ensure efficient use of manpower and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Monitor progress of repairs and assign shop personnel to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Interact with customers in a positive manner, showcasing DXP's commitment to their business.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to execute all work effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a pump repair shop facility, with a proven track record of repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment.
  • Experience repairing API/Engineered pumps, creating detailed reports, and making technical decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of API 610 and other relevant standards.
  • Ability to read pump sectional drawings, machine manuals, and OEM pump documentation.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and write detailed reports on rotating equipment repairs and replacement parts needed.
  • Safely operate hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background check, physical, and drug test required.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $ $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, 401(k), paid holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional supplemental products.
