Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Tax Function: Lead the tax structuring, tax placement, tax compliance, and tax review processes to ensure a best-in-class tax function.
  • Assess Tax Leakage: Identify and partner with internal groups to maintain a best-in-class tax function, minimizing tax leakage and optimizing tax efficiency.
  • Collaborate with External Partners: Work closely with multiple fund administrators, tax advisors, and tax firms to ensure seamless tax operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans considering multiple facets, including the global landscape, political environment, firm interests, and firm strategy.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with all levels in the firm and external stakeholders, simplifying complex tax concepts and ensuring transparency.
Requirements
  • Experience: 13-15 years of experience across public and private advisory, with a strong background in public advisory (8-10 years) and private advisory (4+ years).
  • Certifications: CPA (active or inactive) or JD required; Masters or LLM Degree preferred but not necessary.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to leverage good tax advisors, and experience with international tax issues.
  • Personal Qualities: Ethical, hard-working, team-first mindset, proactive, self-motivated, and creative, with a passion for solving complex business problems.
Compensation

The compensation for this role will be determined based on a wide array of factors, including the individual's skill sets, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, office location, and other business and organizational needs. The estimated base compensation for this position is $250K - $350K per year, with the possibility of discretionary bonuses.
