Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Engage with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and grocery shopping.
  • Follow dietary guidelines and preferences while preparing meals.
  • Support the development of daily living skills by addressing social, environmental, and healthcare needs.
  • Facilitate transportation and mobility training for individuals attending appointments and community programs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Adhere to program requirements and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for assisting individuals in their daily activities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication skills with individuals receiving services.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience in a residential setting supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with working with medically fragile individuals or those with physical limitations.
