The Athletic Program Aide I is tasked with aiding full-time personnel in the management of departmental activities.

  • Conduct all job responsibilities with safety as a priority, demonstrating knowledge of general and specific safety protocols.
  • Maintain precise records of game outcomes.
  • Oversee the inventory of game materials and equipment.
  • Prepare sports facilities, including courts, fields, and diamonds, during assigned shifts.
  • Assist lead coaches in guiding and supervising participants during training sessions.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service at all times.
  • Adhere to proper dress code and display employee identification consistently.
  • Accountable for all reports related to accidents/incidents, referee documentation, attendance logs, and other program-related forms.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support program setup as directed by the Athletic Director.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and order in the gym or facility throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in playing or officiating various sports.
  • Assistance with the organization of game day activities for any sport.
Psychological Skills:
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures to staff and the public while fostering positive relationships with community organizations.
  • Capable of responding to challenging situations promptly, with sound judgment and precision.
Cognitive Skills:
  • The Athletic Program Aide I should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment aligned with the mission of the Park District.
