Job Title: Oral Surgery Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team at Dietrich & Associates Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with doctor recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment options and ensure understanding.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform various duties as assigned by the surgical team.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
  • Ensure an unobstructed operative field using surgical retractors, sponges, and suctioning equipment.
  • Inspect and obtain sterile or non-sterile surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Operate sterilizing devices and monitor patient intra-operative status.
  • Obtain dental radiographs and digital imaging as required.
  • Complete patient clinical narratives accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification required or the ability to complete within 1 month of hire.
  • At least one year of related experience preferred.
  • Radiology certification required.
