Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Harbour View Medical Center. As a key member of the surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Prepare and organize surgical supplies and equipment for procedures.
- Assist with pre and post-procedure cleaning of the operating room and instruments.
- Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA), or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Registered Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with the Virginia Board of Medicine (if currently residing in Virginia).
- One year of perioperative, operating room, or related military surgical technology experience (preferred).
