Key Responsibilities- Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors and facilitate communication needs of the department.
- Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
- Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
- Prepare and complete records in the ICU, including ordering supplies for the unit.
- Assist nursing staff with indirect patient care duties as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
- Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.
