Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic problem-solver, identifying areas for support and creating customized solutions to address our clients' accounting needs.
- Manage a team of staff accountants, supervising the quality of work to ensure it meets company standards.
- Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties, acting as a main point of contact for client needs.
- Complete financial reporting and month-end closing procedures for a diverse group of clients.
- Lead by example, providing expert-level service to clients, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and cash-flow forecasting.
- Participate in company strategic planning meetings to ensure operational excellence and align on approach to market.
- Develop and improve financial reporting practices to be utilized both internally and externally.
- Work with company leadership to ensure process efficiencies and drive improvement.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
- Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
- Proven leadership skills and an aptitude for training and development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think creatively about complex accounting issues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple clients/projects and manage deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Master's degree and/or CPA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in accounting with some leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in both public and private accounting is strongly preferred.
