Job Description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Training Program Coordinator for our client. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits, with a pay rate of $55.00 per hour.

The Field-Based Orthopedic Training Specialist will collaborate with fellowship programs and engage with both local and national experts in the field, providing essential consultation, education, and resources in key orthopedic areas.

This role is vital for facilitating the exchange of voice of the customer (VOC), as well as for the education and advancement of both emerging and established orthopedic procedures, products, and techniques.

The Field-Based Orthopedic Training Specialist will significantly contribute to the support of labs, educational courses, and industry trade shows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 35%: Implement targeted educational strategies for domestic and international surgeons and fellows through labs, courses, and trade shows, while delivering current scientific data and potential clinical trial opportunities. Build and maintain professional relationships with key surgeons.
  • 25%: Plan, coordinate, and execute educational programs for surgeons, which may involve collaboration with off-site labs, hospitals, and surgery centers, ensuring effective communication between faculty members and course participants.
  • 15%: Support Marketing and R&D by gathering competitive intelligence and clinical feedback on new product concepts, conducting field trials, and submitting reports.
  • 15%: Oversee all aspects of Bioskills lab training sessions, including the organization and execution of activities, advanced orthopedic technique demonstrations, and product training on relevant equipment and instruments.
  • 10%: Cultivate strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and promote visibility of innovative technologies to surgeons not currently utilizing our products, aligning development with strategic marketing objectives.

Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel may be necessary.

Education: An AS/BS/MA in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., PA-C, RN, ST).

Licenses/Certifications: Nursing and/or surgical technologist certification is required.

Experience: A minimum of five years of operating room experience, with at least three years in a commercial capacity, preferably within the healthcare sector. Familiarity with operating room or lab environments is essential.

Competencies: Ability to analyze and interpret technical manuals, scientific literature, and general business documents.

Additional Information: Assist Sales and Marketing teams with trade shows, workshops, labs, and other events as needed. Support cadaveric labs by creating pathology scenarios to utilize products effectively. Physical capability to move and lift equipment for setup and breakdown of labs and events is required. Proficiency in all product knowledge is necessary to support field personnel and lab events. Strong communication, presentation, and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are essential. Candidates should possess a personable, energetic, responsive, confident demeanor, along with a positive attitude and integrity.
