Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator to join our team at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for the residency program, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and special events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the academic, operational, and financial activities of the residency program
  • Assist in the development of program educational and administrative goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain the residency program structure
  • Provide sound guidance and advice on residency program issues
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Manage schedules and resident attendance for educational activities
  • Oversee the resident/fellow recruitment process
  • Implement residency management software and provide user training
  • Develop and maintain program letters of agreement for rotations at outside institutions

Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with residency management and physician scheduling software preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of related experience preferred
