Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital's Nursing Opportunities

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital's 2 South /6 North /6 South Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing units provide comprehensive care and caring services for adults, 18 years of age and older, who have medical and surgical diagnoses.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patient's condition, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Evaluate and update patient care plans as necessary to ensure effective and timely interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide well-coordinated patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing practice.
Education and Certifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) may be required for certain units.
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit-specific needs.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required for SNF care settings.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience required for rehab care settings.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings.
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
