Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector II to join our team at LISI Aerospace North America. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for inspecting bench-assembled production components, subassemblies, and final assemblies to ensure conformance to predetermined mechanical standards, specifications, tolerance, and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts involving numerous precision tolerance dimensions, coordinated dimensions, irregular surfaces requiring coordination in several planes, angles, and contours.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments from surface plate set-ups and perform inspections without available inspection jigs or fixtures.
  • Check parts made up into complicated assemblies for usability, interchangeability, and proper functioning.
  • Review relevant documentation for compliance to operation and/or related procedures.
  • Record quality of material approved and rejected on inspection reports.
  • Determine alternate methods of inspection to ensure quality of parts.
  • Perform periodic stamp inspections for stamp control purposes.
  • Attend all required job-related training and adhere to HSE procedures, policies, and plans.
Requirements
  • AA degree or High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • 3 or more years experience and/or training of precision mechanical parts inspection.
  • Ability to make all inspections on machined parts using precision measuring equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or other job specifications.
Skills and Abilities
  • Computer skills in Database software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
