Job Summary:

Provide overall on-site management for construction projects, ensuring they meet design, budget, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise construction efforts to ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions, including scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative tasks.
  • Supervise craft employees and/or contractors as required by the contract.
  • Assist Project Superintendents in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards.
  • Ensure onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules.
  • Document violations, notify project management, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Superintendent.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage 1 to 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 1 to 7 employees in field operations.

Requirements:

Overall knowledge and experience in site work construction, including earthmoving, dewatering, underground utility construction, road, and parking lot construction, and surveying. Willingness to travel out of town or state.

Minimum of four years Heavy Civil Earthwork construction management and/or craft supervision experience. Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, craft agreements, jurisdiction, cost control schedules, and safety requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
