Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Suburban Inns, a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all required items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Service Delivery: Set up service units with needed items, service items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards, and notify the Kitchen Supervisor of expected shortages.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Kitchen Supervisor to maintain security and safety in the kitchen, set up, maintain, and break down prep cook stations, and requisition items needed to produce menu items.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary, maintain logs as required by the health department, cover, date, and store leftover products neatly, and adhere to local health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certifications: Food safety certification is a plus.
