Job Title: Electrical Controls Drafter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Controls Drafter to join our team at Automation Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed electrical schematic and layout drawings based on sketches and instructions provided by our engineering team.

Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed electrical schematic and layout drawings based on sketches and instructions provided by our engineering team.
  • Ensure continuity of design and documentation by capturing as-built changes on both drawings and BOMs.
  • Be the librarian of our technical documentation and maintain its organization to support the rest of the teams.
  • Provide excellent customer service while providing our customers with drawings and documentation.
  • Be a positive team member while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Thorough familiarity with industrial control components and terminology.
  • Fluent in ANSI Y32.2/IEEE and IEC electrical schematic symbols and layouts.
  • Willing to embrace Automation Solutions drafting standards and practices.
  • AS degree in drafting or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in 2D AutoCad (DraftSight).
  • Functional understanding of UL508A and NFPA79 standards.
  • 5+ Years of experience.
