About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at New London-Spicer School District 345. As a long-term substitute, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the SLP in developing and implementing individualized programs for students with communication disorders.
  • Provide direct service to students in articulation, stuttering, and language development.
  • Prepare progress reports, lesson plans, and day-to-day documentation for student services.
  • Draft present levels of performance and skill ideas for review by the SLP.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of speech services into the classroom environment.

Requirements

  • AAS degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of special education practices and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, school staff, administrators, and outside agencies.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $35,000 - $40,000 based on the provided hourly rates ($17.59/hour for the first 10 days and $22.03/hour thereafter) and assuming a 40-hour workweek. Additionally, you will receive earned sick and safe time benefits.
