Program Director Opportunity at Sevita

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Director to lead our community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of programs, supervising staff, and ensuring that each individual receives the necessary support and guidance to promote their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community, including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and health care.
  • Supervise program staff members, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
  • Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Implement program planning, monitor delivery of services and supports, and ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.

Requirements
  • Qualified as a Designated Coordinator per the following:
  1. A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  2. An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  3. A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
  4. A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
  5. Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
An equivalent combination of education and experience;Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations;Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
