Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and direct all accounting and financial operations within the organization, leading a team of 4 to 6 managers and supervisors.
- Oversee the Payroll and Prevailing Wage teams.
- Collaborate with management to establish and achieve profit targets across all divisions.
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of all operational aspects and responsibilities of the business units under your purview.
- Plan, execute, manage, and regulate all financial-related activities, providing counsel to senior management on fiscal matters.
- Work closely with upper management on strategic and operational challenges, offering recommendations grounded in financial analysis.
- Engage actively in internal management discussions while contributing positively to our Executive Team.
- Lead with a compelling strategic vision that aligns with the organization's short-term and long-term objectives.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Collaborate with management to drive an annual revenue growth target of 10%.
Summary: Reporting directly to the president and the board, the Vice President of Finance plays a vital role in our executive team, delivering strategic financial leadership. This position is accountable for guiding the management team on financial matters and establishing long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Assess and communicate the organization's financial performance.
- Participate in the development of financial business plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Provide timely and precise analysis of budgets and financial reports.
- Advise executive management on the financial implications of business activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with other executive team members to deliver financial solutions.
- Conduct contract reviews and financial comparative analyses across various business lines.
- Offer insights to owners on business and tax-related matters and provide investment oversight.
- Evaluate departmental structures and team plans for continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary contact for external CPAs and perform other assigned duties.
- Direct and oversee all Finance & Accounting functions.
- Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct interviews, hiring, and training of personnel.
- Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline staff.
- Address complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA, MBA, or CMA is a plus.
- 7+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably within the wireless sector.
