Safety Specialists at Sturgeon Electric Company play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, clients, and subcontractors on electric construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with field staff, clients, and management to develop and implement safety-related policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to observe and document safety behaviors and work conditions.
  • Coordinate with Operations teams to create site-specific safety plans and participate in safety meetings.
  • Support client-specific safety requirements programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coach and mentor project site personnel on safety practices and behaviors.
  • Conduct proactive behavior-based and quality-focused field safety observations and PPE hazard assessments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) field roles.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) safety certification, such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP.
