Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) is seeking a skilled Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, and other electrical systems.
  • Work with electrical circuits, panels, and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with clients and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and applicable government regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with apprenticeship training preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA Badge.
  • Enrollment in the IEC program (currently enrolled candidates preferred).
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Basic hand tool and power tool skills.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices (OSHA, Lock Out / Tag Out).
  • Clean background and ability to pass a required drug screening.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including overtime if necessary.
  • Ability to climb ladders and possess own transportation.
Work Environment:
  • Work assignments may vary based on client requirements.
  • Work may be performed inside a large facility or in the field.
  • Outside work may include various environmental conditions.
Physical Requirements:
  • May require climbing ladders, working at heights, and in small, confined spaces.
  • Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Equipment and Machines:
  • General office equipment includes PCs, laptops, telephones, copiers, servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment.
  • General field equipment includes hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial/motorized lifts, and test equipment.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
Travel:
  • Travel requirements will vary.
  • A current passport is required for Overseas travel.
Other Essential Functions:
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required certifications or licenses.
  • Professional behavior that promotes teamwork and enhances productivity.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with various external customers.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Adherence to OSHA Standards.
  • US government security clearance may be required.
