Position Overview

As a vital member of our oncology team, the Oncology Nurse Navigator plays a crucial role in assisting patients throughout their comprehensive cancer care journey. This position involves providing both physical and emotional support to patients as they navigate services such as radiation oncology, medical oncology, and palliative care.

Key Responsibilities

- Advocate for patients and their families by proactively identifying and addressing barriers to care.
- Ensure patients have access to and understanding of all available resources, empowering them to make informed decisions as their needs evolve.
- Act as a trusted companion and supporter, celebrating patient progress and providing guidance throughout their treatment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 years of clinical Med/Surg Nursing experience, including a minimum of 3 years in Oncology.
- Current RN license in California.
- Current BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- National Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an administrative or educational nursing role is highly desirable.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Skills and Attributes:
- In-depth knowledge of oncology nursing principles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Compensation

Competitive pay rate of $70.15 per hour.
