The Maintenance Operations Assistant is responsible for ensuring that maintenance schedules are adhered to as specified for the designated shift or area. It is crucial to report all incidents, regardless of their severity, to the supervisor immediately.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily maintenance tasks with nursing services while performing routine duties in resident living spaces.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents' protected health information and report any suspected violations to the Administrator.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings as required.
- Execute specific tasks according to daily work assignments and file any complaints or grievances with the supervisor.
- Follow maintenance schedules and instructions provided by the supervisor in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform routine upkeep on grounds, parking areas, and driveways, including cutting, trimming, and cleaning as necessary.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, following established procedures.
- Clean windows and screens as directed and replace burnt-out light bulbs in various fixtures.
- Service heating and cooling systems as specified by the manufacturer and in compliance with established policies.
- Ensure maintenance supplies are replenished in work areas as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist in lifting heavy equipment and supplies as directed.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information and report any unauthorized disclosures.
- Inform residents when it is necessary to relocate their personal belongings.
Education and Experience: A minimum of a 10th-grade education is required.
Language Skills: The ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive feedback is essential. Candidates must demonstrate tact when interacting with personnel, residents, and visitors.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations is necessary.
Reasoning Ability: Candidates should be able to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical DemandsThe role requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Regular use of office equipment and prolonged periods of sitting or standing are expected.
