Project Manager Job Description

AIT is a leading provider of automation, factory integration, and tooling solutions dedicated to the aerospace, defense, and space launch vehicle industries.

Job Summary

The Project Manager position is responsible for the successful delivery of customer projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting scope and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Kick-off new projects and coordinate with internal resources for project execution.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation to support project plans and timing.
  • Develop master timing plans to report project status to customers.
  • Manage customer authority data with support from the data management department.
  • Support outsource scope development and sourcing to maintain project cost and timing.
  • Perform risk and opportunity assessments, manage program risks internally and externally.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Track job costs and escalate/adjust accordingly.
  • Assist in performing PCM reporting to finance.
  • Support relationships with customers and manage customer interactions and expectations.
  • Report and escalate issues or concerns to management bi-weekly or as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure quality reports and project deliverables meet or exceed customer and internal expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field.
  • Two to four years of experience in a tooling/manufacturing environment, design, build, and installation programs.
Work Environment

The Project Manager will work in a production and office environment with a standard work schedule, with overtime possible for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions.

Travel Requirements

This position may involve travel up to 25% of the time.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include light work, moving objects up to 20 pounds, and prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
