The Banquet Setup/Utility Team Member is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and meetings at our hotel. This role involves setting up, maintaining, and breaking down meeting and banquet rooms according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Setup: Participate in setting up events, including moving tables, setting tables and chairs, buffet set-up, bar set-up, and equipment for audio visual.
  • Room Preparation: Ensure all meeting and event rooms are prepared for clients/guests at the requested time.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the Banquet Manager/Captain, letting them know of any changes or guest requests.
  • Storage and Cleaning: Organize and clean banquet storage areas, vacuum meeting and banquet rooms, and shampoo meeting and banquet rooms.
  • Assistance: Assist in clean up and break down after the event and assist in any other task or duties as requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Team Player: A team player with a heart for hospitality.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused, with guests, clients, and employees at the forefront of your thinking.
  • Adaptability: Nimble and able to adapt to change quickly.
  • Communication: An excellent communicator.
  • Problem-Solving: Naturally curious and value listening to solve problems.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, standing for an entire shift or for an extended amount of time, reaching overhead, utilizing both hands, leaning over, stooping, and kneeling.
