We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technician Lead to join our team at Pep Boys. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for leading by example and driving excellence in customer service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians to ensure they meet the highest standards of technical expertise and customer service.
- Repair and Diagnosis: Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
- Customer Interaction: Effectively communicate with customers to explain technical diagnoses and proposed repairs, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and techniques through ongoing training and education.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in automotive repair and diagnosis, with a strong background in leadership and technical expertise.
- Certifications: 4 or more ASE certifications preferred, including A4 Steering and Suspension, A5 Brakes, and two additional certifications from the following: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance.
- Section 609 Certification: Required for this position.
- State Inspection License: If applicable.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance, and perform other physical demands as outlined in the job description.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $22.00 to $34.06, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
