Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs various nuclear medicine exams, ensuring high-quality care and excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of radiation safety practices, as well as the ability to calibrate and administer radioactive isotopes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine exams following established protocols and procedures.
  • Receive, calibrate, log, administer, and monitor the decay of radioactive isotopes.
  • Provide radiation safety support in the event of a radiation incident or spill.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are completed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
  • Adhere to facility ICARE values and maintain all required licenses and certifications.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current registry by CNMT or ARRT (N) required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • PET CT experience preferred.
