Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at New York Ophthalmology. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Greeting and Registration: Welcome and register new patients, update existing patient demographics, and collect detailed patient information.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized reception area, manage medical office supplies, and anticipate inventory needs.
  • Communication and Coordination: Respond to patients and visitors in a courteous manner, notify providers of patient arrivals, and facilitate patient flow.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality, securing and protecting health information at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be computer literate, and have experience with EMR systems. A pleasant personality, clean and neat appearance, and a competitive salary commensurate with experience are also essential.
