Job Description

As the Manager of Emergency Services, you will oversee the daily operations of our Emergency Services Department, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory policies. This key leadership position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage the department, staff, and patient care initiatives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, plan, and evaluate department activities to ensure quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and manage departmental goals, policies, and procedures in alignment with hospital objectives.
  • Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a seamless patient care experience.
  • Manage staff scheduling, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a competent and motivated team.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate actively in hospital committees.
  • Ensure the department is prepared for and compliant with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Current Florida RN licensure.
  • Associates degree in nursing required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • At least one year of management experience in emergency nursing or a closely related field.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required within 60 days of employment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets, staffing, and patient care initiatives.
