As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of medium-sized construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project safety plans, leading by example in health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Ensure projects are constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
  • Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
  • Manage project performance and provide performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, monitoring their progress and schedule.
  • Understand, communicate, and enforce contract and contract documents.
  • Develop and coordinate overall project closeout.
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law, and building codes.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
