At InProduction, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the financial success and timely completion of projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret drawings to evaluate project needs, including reviewing current inventory and fabrication requirements, and ordering equipment.
- Review client contracts and communicate milestones or stipulations to the project team.
- Check availability of specialty items to avoid overbooking.
- Project labor for both erection and dismantle, and implement processes and procedures for projects.
- Plan and implement job budgets within SPORTS in advance, tying costs to activities and materials.
- Discuss project budgets, goals, and expectations with pertinent parties.
- Acquire permits with local building departments as needed.
- Attend pre-planning meetings and perform site visits to review the scope of work with the client and coordinate with vendors.
- Ensure rental equipment is scheduled and returned.
- Assign usage dates to structures to reserve inventory.
- Manage build and strike dates, notifying Operations of any changes.
- Visit job sites to inspect progress and ensure compliance with job timelines and quality.
- Provide technical advice to job teams to ensure compliance with job specifications.
- Assist Operations with inventory management and formal cycle counts of material onsite.
- Maintain and update budgets regularly to reflect current margins.
- Inform senior management of significant changes in project plans and budget changes.
- Procure materials to complete projects if justified.
- Produce weekly reports for projects over $200K and with a build duration greater than 2 weeks.
- Participate in generating final build to capture design changes and prepare for future projects.
- Reconcile all invoices in a timely manner.
- Work with Operations on material allocation and loading out of the project.
- Coordinate debriefings and record notes for future years.
- Implement processes for post-event reviews, documenting financial and operational performance items for potential process improvements.
- Generate as-built drawings for reoccurring projects to aid in accuracy year to year.
- Ensure all rental equipment is returned promptly.
- 3-5 years of project management and operations experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in construction or equipment rental industry preferred.
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
- Work is primarily done in an office environment.
- Will need to travel to outdoor worksites as needed.
- Wearing of safety clothing and equipment may be required at times.
