Job Title: Speech and Language Development Specialist

About the Job:
This position is available in the Hopkins Public School District due to caseload growth and provider change. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive array of services to students with identified communication problems.

Responsibilities:
The Speech and Language Development Specialist will perform pre-referral consultations, oversee case management for students with speech-language impairments, and conduct evaluations that consist of comprehensive initial and reevaluations for all types of communication disabilities. Additional responsibilities include performing direct intervention services to students in the least restrictive environment and indirect intervention and consultative services to teams, teachers, and parents.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in education or a closely related field and a Minnesota teaching license in Speech-Language Pathology. Strong knowledge of district policies and procedures, principles of speech language, and laws related to assignments is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.

Working Environment:
Work is performed in a school setting with occasional travel to locations throughout the District. The salary for this position is estimated at $80,000 per year.
