Job Description: Auto Dismantler & Loader Operator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Dismantler & Loader Operator to join our team at Skyway Auto Parts. In this role, you will be responsible for dismantling vehicles, preparing them for recycling, and operating various heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite by removing fluids from vehicles and disposing of waste properly.
  • Utilize tools such as blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment to dismantle vehicles effectively.
  • Operate loaders to manage vehicle inventory within the yard, ensuring efficient rotation and organization.
  • Safely handle and move vehicles throughout the facility, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with site personnel to ensure smooth operations and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and other relevant information.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience operating bobcats, forklifts, and loaders
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, and kneel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic
  • Organized, reliable, and capable of multitasking effectively
