JOB TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt
LOCATION: Skyway Auto Parts, 637 Tifft Street Buffalo NY, 14220
HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM, Saturdays as needed
COMPENSATION: $17-20/hr., based on skills and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Clean and prepare jobsite and yard in a tidy and safe manner
  • Remove fluids such as gas or oil from vehicles
  • Remove tires from vehicles
  • Use a variety of tools and machines; blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment
  • Use loaders to rotate vehicle inventory throughout the yard
  • Parking newest vehicles and removing oldest vehicles to be crushed and shipped
  • Safe handling and/or moving of vehicles 
  • Effective communication with all site personnel
  • Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
  • Daily maintenance of equipment
  • Identify, report, correct, and/or prevent hazards
  • Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety, and environmental rules and ensure work is completed in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
  • Work outside in the elements regardless of the season
  • Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and typical sounds
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Being able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, and kneel
  • Quick learner who can follow directions
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking
