Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Revere Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Quality Patient Care: Work under the supervision of our medical providers to ensure high-quality patient care and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Verify Patient Information: Accurately verify patient information, including medical history, purpose of visit, and medication lists, to ensure accurate and efficient care.
  • Prepare Patients for Examination: Perform preliminary physical tests and prepare patients for examination by our medical providers.
  • Secure Patient Information: Maintain patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential.
  • Support Office Procedures: Assist with office procedures, injections, and other tasks as requested by our medical staff.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate test and lab results, transmit information from providers to patients, and answer questions as appropriate.
  • Schedule Referrals and Follow-ups: Schedule referrals and follow-ups as needed, and submit prescriptions per provider instructions.
  • Work with Insurance Companies: Collaborate with insurance companies and pharmacies as needed for prior authorizations.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Establish and follow standards and procedures to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
  • Keep Exam Rooms Clean: Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, and ensure patient readiness.
  • Manage Supplies and Equipment: Inventory stock, note when supplies are needed, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to Clinic and Professional Standards: Comply with clinic and professional standards, policies, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintain CPR Certification: Maintain current CPR certification and adhere to all relevant healthcare standards.
Requirements
  • Certification: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification or completion within 4 months of hiring.
  • Medical Terminology: Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, as well as stand and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly, and professional, and to multi-task and work efficiently while remaining calm and productive.
  • Previous Experience: Previous medical experience preferred but not required.
