Our Project Pipeline

Our project pipeline includes sites on the Sunshine Coast and in Squamish, as well as a seaside 250+ acre master-planned community called Royal Bay on Vancouver Island. This mixed-use community will feature over 7,000 residents, numerous businesses, and a range of amenities, including service retail, business, restaurants, and cafes.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting for several projects, including preparation and coordination of quarterly investor reporting packages. You will also assist with monthly updates to proforma forecasts and coordinate monthly budget reviews.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring project cash requirements, preparing and acting as the point of contact for project capital calls, distributions, loan draws, and repayments. You will also document, monitor, and liaise with interdepartmental teams regarding project milestones, including LC tracking and release, warranty periods, deposits, and prepaids.

As a Senior Project Accountant, you will implement and manage internal controls, business processes, and procedures for project accounting. You will also liaise between accounting divisions, finance, marketing, construction, and development departments to ensure timely completion and accuracy of interdepartmental tasks.

Requirements
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in construction or real estate
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a great asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated time management and planning skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task
