Job Overview

RER Solutions, Inc. is in search of a FOIA Compliance Specialist to enhance their team of skilled professionals. This role is ideal for individuals who wish to contribute their knowledge in a supportive and professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in legislative frameworks including the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act
  • Coordinate with various federal entities to guarantee adherence and uniformity in FOIA inquiries and replies
  • Interact with a wide array of stakeholders, such as the public, legal representatives, and governmental bodies
  • Assess and prioritize documents for redaction while managing FOIA requests proficiently
  • Create and uphold an electronic repository for public access to FOIA materials

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required to secure client-issued Public Trust
  • At least 1 year of direct experience with FOIA
  • Understanding of FOIA guidelines, regulations, and redaction methodologies
  • Capability to manage both new and outstanding FOIA requests effectively
  • Excellent analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Skills:

  • Background in federal records management and legal compliance
  • Familiarity with FOIAXpress and Department of Energy (DOE) FOIA protocols

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in business, government, or a related discipline
